About Vyasa Foundation

Vyasa Foundation (formerly People Tree Foundation) is a 12-year-old organization registered as a Trust. This is a non-profit organization primarily driven by a group of doctors, aiming to realize a “disability-free India” by providing services in health, education, health education and related research.

Imagine the brilliant minds, the empathetic hearts, that could be shaping the future of healthcare, forced instead into other, less fulfilling paths because they simply can’t afford to learn. This isn’t just a loss for the individual; it’s a profound loss for our society, for our healthcare system, and for every patient who will miss out on the care of a dedicated, compassionate nurse.

These are the individuals who stand at the forefront of human need, offering solace in times of vulnerability and expertise in moments of crisis. But what if the very individuals destined to carry this torch are held back, not by a lack of talent or dedication, but by the relentless grip of economic hardship?

This proposal seeks a transformative investment of INR 75,00,000 to establish the “Vyasa Institute of Nursing Sciences” – a dedicated, state-of-the-art nursing college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, specifically designed to provide quality education and comprehensive support to economically weaker students from across India. This ambitious project aims to construct modern classrooms, a fully equipped computer lab, a multi-purpose auditorium, and a cutting-edge nursing simulation lab, alongside providing full scholarships to ensure accessibility. Currently, Vyasa Institute of Nursing Sciences is one of the core focus areas of the foundation. The Institution is a not-for-profit entity, where more than 50% of the students are on scholarship program.
